WISD was just contacted by Winona ISD and informed that, due to not having enough players available, Winona will not be able to play the Varsity Girls Basketball game tonight. So the JV Boys will start at 5 p.m. and the Varsity Boys will start at approximately 6:30 p.m.

All ticket and concession stand proceeds from this Friday’s home basketball games will be donated to supporting two families who have each recently faced a tragic loss.

WISD administrators have spoken with Harmony ISD coaches and the varsity basketball games will be played in Harmony today. Varsity girls will begin at 4:30 followed by Varsity boys.
On Wednesday, January 17 all WISD busses will run two hours later than the normal pick up time as well.

Tuesday’s basketball games have been cancelled and rescheduled for Wednesday. There will be no JV games. Varsity girls will begin at 4:30 followed by Varsity boys.
Due to concerns regarding road conditions, all WISD schools will be closed tomorrow, Tuesday, January 16. The safety of our staff and students is our top priority. Decisions regarding athletics will be made tomorrow. We will also continue to monitor conditions and announce any additional delays or closures promptly. Stay safe and warm everyone!

We are deeply saddened by the sudden and tragic loss of one of our Winnsboro Elementary Students. Our deepest condolences go out to the family.
